Who this policy covers
This policy explains how New Leaf handles information in the app and in optional support messages.
Information in the app
When you choose to use New Leaf, you can save your start date, reasons, plans, spending estimates, check-ins, mood and urge ratings, notes, cannabis-use entries, personal wins, and pause ratings. The app stores this information on your device and uses it to show your progress, history, estimated savings, and garden milestones. Appearance and notification preferences are also stored locally.
New Leaf works offline. It has no account system, advertising, analytics, or tracking. Your app entries are not sent to us, sold, or used for advertising.
Sharing and your choices
The app does not automatically share your entries with other companies. You choose what to enter, whether to export a backup, and whether to contact support. Opening an external link does not attach your app entries. Services you choose for email, external websites, or file storage handle those interactions under their own privacy policies.
Backups and files you choose
New Leaf keeps local recovery copies and may preserve files to help recover history. Your device settings may also include app data in device or cloud backups. New Leaf does not provide an automatic cloud-sync service.
Importing reads only the backup file you select. Exporting saves a readable copy of your entries to a location you choose; New Leaf does not password-protect that file. Keep exported copies private.
Optional notifications and lock-screen controls
Milestone reminders are optional and scheduled on your device. You can turn them off in the app or device settings. Lock-screen pause controls show a countdown and Pause/Resume actions, without your journal notes or ratings. You can disable lock-screen activities in device settings.
Retention and deletion
Your progress remains on your device until you edit, replace, or delete it. Use Settings → Your data → Delete local data to erase progress and local recovery or preserved copies. Device preferences, such as appearance, may remain.
This does not erase files you exported or existing device backups. Manage those copies where you saved them. We cannot access, recover, or remotely delete your local app entries.
Support messages
If you choose to email support, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you send. We use them to answer questions, troubleshoot issues, and handle privacy requests. We keep correspondence only as long as needed for those purposes or legal obligations, and do not use it for advertising.
Support is optional. The app does not send logs, entries, or backups automatically. Avoid including sensitive personal information. You can request deletion of support correspondence by emailing finley.newleaf@gmail.com; information required by law may be retained.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page if New Leaf’s privacy practices change. You can return here to review the current policy or contact us with questions.
